Thursday Night Tempo
Our Thursday Night Tempo runs offer a different course each week along the trails of Santa Clarita. The route is typically 4-6 miles, with shorter options available. We regroup at key points along the way.
Dinner together after the run.
Check the Calendar of Events to see where this weeks run / dinner will be!
Club Travelogue
We had a Pop Up Social with a Twist for this past Thursday Night Tempo run! Starting from the Pocock Brewing Co., we ran along the paseos, and SOMEWHERE along the way you could earn a FREE DRINK TICKET when you encountered our Club President! Food and Drinks were enjoyed at Pocock afterward!
Nice evening for a run up the Haskell Canyon Trail! Martin and Everette got a great view of the sunset (aaahhhh) at the top of the ridge before the group went to Vincenzo’s Pizza for dinner!
Really great trail run tonight at Towsley Canyon! Enjoying a nice dip in temperature to a cool 84° we charged the Elder Loop and Taylor Loop trails. It was a ‘mostly friendly’ 4 mile run (a little competitive jostling) with just shy of 2,000 feet of total gain. Good times had by all!
Only 102° at 6pm tonight, so perfect weather for a run! A group of us met at The Stand and ran our standard Paseo ‘Pedestrian Bridge’ tour, looping around to West Fork and back. Now that the C.O.C. Cross Country Series is done, make sure to join us on our regularly scheduled Thursday Night Tempo runs!
We had a lot of fun running around the trails of Central Park tonight! Silly me, I forgot to take a picture of the ENTIRE group. . .we had around 12-15 members turn out to run from the Community Gardens down to (and thru) the Rabbit Hole, then climb up behind the Dog Park where we split into 2 groups. My group tackled the climb to the water tower and ran some of the trails up there before heading back down and joining up with the rest of the group running around the park (and repeating the Rabbit Hole again for some!). So sorry not to have pictured the rest of the group! The camera went up the ridge! ?
With a lot of club members out of town, we had a much smaller, yet BRAVE group that got together to charge the hills of the Pine Street Trail! The loose dirt and steep inclines made the 1.44 miles to the top FEEL much longer! Short, but definitely sweet this week!
