How many strides do you take each minute while running? What difference does it make?
Good questions if you’re looking to run faster. As I’ve mentioned in the past, there are only 2 ways to run faster, longer strides or quicker turnover. Stride rate relates to turnover.
When you’re next running, try counting your right foot fall for 30 seconds, multiply this by 4 to get your stride rate in strides per minute. Elite runners typically have a rate in exces of 200, I checked mine this morning and got 172. There’s work to do here I feel.
