Hello, SCR's!-- Brian Frank
Please read the notes below from Betsy Swallow regarding our annual club Turkey Trot, which will be held on Thanksgiving morning. This is a Race Series "fun" event worth 3 points. This is a non-competitive club event, so there is no registration, fees or prizes.
We always have a large number of SCR's participate in this event. I particularly encourage newer club members to come out, as it's a great way to meet your fellow runners in a casual, non-competitive setting.
On behalf of the board and the entire club, I want to thank John and Betsy Swallow for once again generously donating their time to organize this fun event for all of us.
I look forward to seeing you out there on Thanksgiving morning!
Turkey Trot - Thanksgiving 11/27/08 - 8:00 A.M.
We will meet at Central Park, located on Bouquet Canyon, between Seco Canyon and Haskell Canyon. Park down near the basketball courts, toward the far end of the park. The run is the same course as last year, a series of loops throughout the park, totaling 6.2 miles. You can do a shorter course, just consult with the
Trot Director, John Swallow, upon arrival. We will provide water, and there will be refreshments, courtesy of the SC Runners Club, after the run.
This is a non-competitive club fun run. All are welcome to attend.
Come run, have fun, and work up an appetite for Thanksgiving Dinner!! - John and Betsy Swallow
